The Government’s Restrictions on Non-Essential Retail is expected to be eased from  1st June.

Open Air Markets have been included in the same Category, thus we are expecting to re-open with our first trading day on  7th June.

Helpfully, H M Government’s publication entitled ‘OUR PLAN TO REBUILD: 'The UK Government’s COVID-19 Recovery Strategy’ released on the 12th May states :-

“Re-opening outdoor spaces and activities (subject to continued social distancing) comes earlier in the roadmap because the risk of transmission outdoors is significantly lower”.

Thus, this announcement vindicates our claims for weeks that open-air shopping is arguably safer than indoor supermarkets and shops.

The 7th June is still subject to H M Government’s phased re-opening plans [still to be published], conditional that COVID does not re-peak in the meantime and STRICT COVID Protection Measures, which all our Customers will be required to follow on Entry.
